Jomia Pangilinan

Hey! I'm Mia, 19, student at Lassonde School of Engineering BSc Computer Science and Cognitive Science. Also a former youth settlement counsellor at The Neighbourhood Organization and lead organizer of NOYPI - Newcomer Outreach Youth Program Initiative. My work involves collaborating and meeting with prominent figures in the field of social issues i.e. OCASI Director Debbie Douglas, TNO Executive Director Ahmed Hussein, MP York Center Michael Levitt, and IRCC Minister Ahmed Hussen. As a first generation immigrant, I am privileged to advocate for the welfare of migrant workers, newcomer youth, and underrepresented sectors of our community. Public service, above all, goes hand in hand with those who directly represent the people they serve. And if I am given the opportunity to be your representative, I would be able to extend the work I have been doing by forwarding the voice of Ward 6 to the city of Toronto. Interested in conversation? Let's hang out! My insta is @seventhmiachan or via email at
